Severe scratches on glass are considered those you can feel with your fingernail. old methods try to polish the glass using a glass polishing paste that has been used for decades. These glass polishing materials are made up of extremely small particles typically 1 micron in size suspended in a paste or slurry. This is only effective with very fine glass scratches, and can take a very long time to restore the glass surface if at all.
Don't be fooled no one step process can remove deep glass scratches effectively. Beware of dry-sanding processes as this can present serious health hazards.
Ask yourself, can you use the same material you are going to polish the glass with, and expect to remove enough glass to remove a scratch, it just doesn't work that way. Using technology that applies microscopic 3 dimensional structures (pyramid shaped) in varying sizes allows deep glass scratches to be removed. This size differential allows you to remove and restore the scratched glass area much faster then trying to polish a deep glass scratch with traditional paste polish. Instead you can use up to a 35 micron disc to quickly remove the scratch in the glass, and then by using progressively finer discs, restore the glass to it's original shine.
It's just common sense. Our 35 micron disc is 35 times more effective then a 1 micron paste. You simply select the right micro grade for the severity of the glass scratch. The glass scratch removal discs are color coded to prevent confusion, and are used in sequence to remove the scratched area and then polished using one of our polishing methods, either polish impregnated discs, Liquid Diamond Polish or Diamond Fast Powder, mixed with water to create a glass polishing paste.
